PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s soccer team will face Cal State Fullerton from the comfort of South Field Saturday evening.
Saturday’s matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. MDT. The game will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. BYU played against No. 21 Saint Louis in the season opener, besting the Billikens 3-2. The Cougars started the game strong with two goals early in the first half by Bella Folino and Olivia Wade-Katoa. A goal by Saint Louis in the 14th minute put the pressure on BYU. A goal by Erin Bailey rounded out the first half, giving the Cougars a 3-2 lead heading into the locker room. The Billikens once again found the back of the net off a deflection, lessening the lead to 3-2. BYU was able to hold off a few late Saint Louis attacks, securing its sixth-straight season opening win.
THE TITANS. Cal State Fullerton began its 2023 season with a draw, 0-0, against Boston College. The Titans ended their 2022 season with an overall record of 9-6-5, going 6-2-2 in conference play. They finished the season ranked No. 3 in The Big West Conference behind Cal Poly and UC Davis.
COUGARS VS. TITANS. The Cougars and Titans have met on the pitch 10 times previously, with BYU leading the series 8-0-2. BYU and Cal State Fullerton last met for the 2022 season opener at Titan Stadium where the Cougars took home the win, 1-0. A second-half goal by Folino secured the BYU win.
