The Big 12 crowns a championship on the highest-scoring team while athletes compete for championships in individual events as well. First Team all-conference honors are given to the top-4 finishers in individual events. Second Team all-conference honors are garnered by those finishing fifth through eighth.

BYU men’s swim and dive enters the meet ranked second in the Big 12 with 808.55 dual meet points. The Cougars arrive in Morgantown with three conference leaders, four top-3 ranked athletes and 13 more individuals ranked among the league’s top-10 performers in their respective events this season.

Jordan Tiffany leads all Big 12 men’s swimmers with a season-best 44.85 in the 100 fly. Tiffany also ranks second in the 100 back and third in the 200 individual medley.

Brad Prolo leads the league in the 200 fly at 1:41.80 along with a tie for fourth in the 200 breast and fifth-place in the 100 breast.

Each of the Cougars’ conference leaders combined with teammate Tanner Edwards to set the Big 12’s top 400 medley relay time of the season with a finish of 3:06.70 at the Mizzou Invitational in November 2023. The remainder of BYU’s relay squads rank either second or third.

Texas’s Nick Harris may hold the Big 12’s top spot on platform, but it's BYU divers who occupy six of the remaining top-10. Mickey Strauss and Chase Hindmarsh lead the Cougars with platform scores of 352.60 and 333.65, respectively.

BYU finished its time in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF, 2012-23) on a high note with three-consecutive conference titles. Fourteen of 20 MPSF All-Conference performers from a season ago will compete for BYU in Morgantown.

No. 9 Texas men’s swim and dive enters the 2024 Big 12 Championships looking to end its tenure in the conference with one final championship after having claimed each of the preceding 27 since the event’s 1997 genesis.
