PROVO, Utah – BYU takes on UVU and Wyoming in its final two exhibition games this week. The Cougars will visit Clyde Field to take on cross-town rival UVU on Wednesday night before hosting Wyoming on South Field Friday evening.
Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. MT. Although Wednesday’s competition will not be streamed, Friday’s matchup against Wyoming will be streamed on ESPN+ and the BYUtv app.
LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. BYU opened the year with its annual Blue/White scrimmage on South Field Saturday evening. After a 45-minute lightning delay, the Blue team narrowly defeated the White team, 2-1.

THE WOLVERINES. UVU finished its 2023 season with a 10-4-5 overall record, falling to GCU in the WAC tournament semifinal match. The Wolverines are coming off a flawless spring season, boasting a 10-0 record, and a second consecutive outright WAC regular season championship in 2023. The team returns 15 letter winners, including five starters from last year's WAC championship squad.
COUGARS VS. WOLVERINES. The Cougars and Wolverines have competed eight times previously, with BYU leading the series 7-1. The last time the two teams met, BYU beat UVU 6-1 on Clyde Field on September 2, 2023. Current BYU forward Erin Bailey scored two goals in a four minute span for her first career brace against the Wolverines last season.
THE COWGIRLS. Wyoming finished its 2023 season with a 6-8-5 overall record.The Cowgirls open their season at South Field for an exhibition match against BYU before their regular season begins at Washington on August 15.
COUGARS VS. COWGIRLS. The Cougars and Cowgirls have competed 16 times previously, with BYU leading the overall series 15-1, with the last matchup being in 2010. The last time the two teams met, BYU defeated Wyoming 4-1 at the Madrid Sports Complex.
