IRVING, Texas — BYU women’s soccer junior Allie Fryer was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the league announced Thursday.
Fryer is joined by 23 others on the 24-player team voted on by the conference's 16 coaches, with the Cougars among 11 schools that had at least one student-athlete recognized. View the full Big 12 release at the league's website.

A tie resulted in two extra positions to the team
Fryer is a 2022 WCC All-Freshman Team and a 2023 All-Big 12 Second Team selection, playing in all but one game since joining the team as a freshman.
The Spanish Fork, Utah native played and started in 25 of 26 games last season, recording 10 goals, one assist, 21 points and 60 shots. As one of BYU’s key forwards, Fryer played 1,329 minutes on the pitch and recorded her first collegiate brace against in-state rival, Utah.
The Cougars will take the pitch for their final exhibition game on South Field against Wyoming on Friday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. MT. BYU’s Big 12 schedule will begin at home against Big 12 newcomer Arizona State on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m.
