BYU to tee off 2024-25 season at Bearcat Invitational

BYU men’s golf begins its 2024-25 season at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Bearcat Invitational from Sept. 16-17.

PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s golf begins its 2024-25 season at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Bearcat Invitational from Sept. 16-17.

"The guys have been working hard this summer and have had some great success," said head coach Bruce Brockbank. "They are excited to get out and compete. I'm looking forward to see what this group of guys can accomplish as a team."

The starting lineup for the tournament consists of seniors Cole Ponich and Zac Jones, juniors Simon Kwon and Tyson Shelley and sophomore Peter Kim

BYU will compete in a 17-team field that includes host Cincinnati, Augusta, UCF, Chattanooga, Florida Gulf Coast, Furman, Illinois State, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, UNC Greensboro, Sam Houston and Southern Miss.

The Cougars will play two 18-hole rounds on Monday beginning at 7 a.m. MST at the 7,279-yard course. The final round will be played on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
