PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s soccer will take on the Boise State Broncos Wednesday evening on South Field.
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT with live coverage on ESPN+.
LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. BYU last played in-state foe Utah State, falling to the Aggies 2-1 on South Field Saturday evening.

THE COUGARS. BYU (1-2-2, 0-0 Big 12) played Utah State Saturday evening, falling to the Aggies 2-1 for the second-straight loss of the season. The Cougars matched the Aggies in total shots, with 13 apiece, but Utah State led in shots on goal with eight to BYU’s two. It was the Aggies who took an early lead with a goal in the seventh minute, but BYU’s MacKenzee Vance tied it up 1-1 with a goal off a free kick in the 10th minute. This was Vance’s first goal as a Cougar. With a goal in the 57th minute, Utah State secured the victory.
THE BRONCOS. Boise State (3-0, 0-0 MWC) started its season with a 3-0 run, beating Portland State, Idaho State and UC Riverside. The Broncos have outscored their opponents 9-2 so far this season, and have not allowed more than one goal in a game. The Broncos last competed against UC Irvine, defeating the Highlanders 4-0 in their first shutout victory of the season. Boise State’s Avery McBride tallied a brace and an assist in the match.
COUGARS VS. BRONCOS. The Cougars and Broncos have played two times previously, with BYU leading the overall series 2-0. The two teams met during non conference play in 2023, when the Cougars beat the Broncos 4-1 at the Boas Soccer Complex in Boise, Idaho. Current BYU forward Allie Fryer scored her first goal of the 2023 season against the Broncos last year.
