Coming off a 2-1 home field victory against long-time rival Utah, the Cougs prepare for another conference matchup against the Cowgirls Thursday evening.

PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s soccer team continues its home stand with a Big 12 conference showdown against Oklahoma State on South Field Thursday evening.

The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT with live coverage on ESPN+.

LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. The Cougars battled long-time rival Utah on Monday evening, downing the Utes 2-1 on South Field.

THE COUGARS. BYU (4-4-2, 2-1 Big 12) faced Utah on Monday evening for a second-half battle that resulted in a 2-1 victory. With a brace by Allie Fryer, courtesy of two headers, the Cougars paced the Utes. Freshman Lucy Kesler had her first collegiate start and tallied her first-career assist in the conference matchup. Fryer led the Cougs with shots, talling seven total shots, five of which were on frame. Goalkeeper Lynette Hernaez tallied her 100th career save in the game.

THE COWGIRLS. Oklahoma State (8-2-1, 1-2 Big 12) last played Texas Tech on Sunday, Sept. 22, falling to the Red Raiders 2-0 at Neal Patterson Stadium. Texas Tech led in shots with a 14-10 advantage and put nine of those shots on goal. This game marked just the second time this season OSU has failed to score in a match.

COUGARS VS. COWGIRLS. The Cougars and Cowgirls have faced three times previously, with BYU leading the overall series 2-1. The last time the two teams met was on Oct. 12, 2023 when the Cougars defeated the Cowgirls 3-0 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Former Cougar Brecken Mozingo and current players Ellie Walbruch and Allie Fryer scored in that matchup.
