BYU is coming off of a second place finish at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite. The team scored 65 points to edge out Notre Dame's 70 points and fall to Northern Arizona's 52 points.
Senior Lexy Halladay-Lowry won the individual race clocking 15:57.5 for the 5000m course. Following her victory, Halladay-Lowry was named the Big 12 Runner of the Week Oct. 8. BYU is currently the only team in the conference to have two different women earn Big 12 Runner of the Week awards this season as Jenna Hutchins also earned the honor Sept. 17 after winning the Autumn Classic.
This week BYU will preview this year's national championship course. The 6000-meter race will feature all of the USTFCCCA's top five ranked programs and six of the top 10.
