MADISON, Wis. – No. 2 BYU women's cross country won the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals at the Zimmer Championship Course Saturday morning.
Lexy Halladay-Lowry was the first BYU woman to cross the line as she placed ninth in a career-best 6000-meter time of 19:33.4. Carmen Alder finished 15 seconds later to place 14th in 19:48.6. Jenna Hutchins was the third BYU woman to finish under the 20-minute mark as she placed 20th in 19:54.7.

No. 2 BYU scored 105 total points to finish on top as they beat No. 3 Washington's 157 points, No. 1 Northern Arizona's 165 points, Big 12 opponent No. 28 West Virginia's 204 points and No. 4 Notre Dame's 213 points.
"I am really proud of how we are coming together at this point in the season," said head coach Diljeet Taylor. "The team culture is probably the thing that I am most proud of. We are just going to continue to work and build. We are definitely not at our best quite yet, but there are some things that we are taking away from this course and how it played out. We are walking away with gratitude for where we are at right now, but we are hungry to continue to keep building and see where we can end up."
