Cougars release 2025 softball schedule

BYU, along with the Big 12 Conference, released its full 2025 schedule on Tuesday.

PROVO, Utah — In conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, BYU softball released its full 2025 schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cougars will face eight of the 10 conference opponents in a three-game series for a total of 24 Big 12 games. They will visit Arizona State, Houston, Iowa State and Baylor, with home series' against Arizona, UCF, Utah and Texas Tech. BYU is not scheduled to play Oklahoma State or Kansas this upcoming season.

League play will begin March 6 and go through May 3, with the Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship set to be hosted again at OGE Field at Devon Park in Oklahoma City from May 7-10.

The Cougars will begin their 51-game slate in San Diego at UCSD's La Jolla Invitational before heading to Mexico to play in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge for the sixth time. BYU will then make its inaugural trip to Palm Springs for the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, closing out a month of non-conference tournaments with five games at Stanford.

Amidst Big 12 play, the Cougars will also have home-and-home series' with Utah Tech and Utah Valley, as well as a doubleheader with Idaho State and a single game against Fresno State.

Heading into year two as members of the conference, BYU will begin Big 12 play on the road at Arizona State. It will then visit Houston before a home series with Arizona. The Cougars will head to Ames for a road series at Iowa State before hosting UCF and Utah in back-to-back weekends. BYU will close out league play at Baylor before welcoming Texas Tech back to Provo for second-straight season.

Coming off a 31-23 (11-16 Big 12) season in 2024, the Cougars look to build upon their inaugural year as members of the Big 12. BYU returns 15 student-athletes from last season's roster, also welcoming six freshmen and three transfers in Danica Acosta, Ilove'a Brittingham, Amiya Hernandez, Ariyah Morgan, Bre Townsend, Jada Villegas, Kennadee Belnap, Miranda Mansfield and Lindy Milkowski.
