The Cougars enter the final meet of the 2024 season with five wins and one second-place finish. Most notably, the program won its second-consecutive Big 12 championship. Five women placed in the top 15 to earn All-Big 12 honors.
This week, the women will return to Zimmer Championship Course where they won the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals last month with 105 points. Lexy Halladay-Lowry led the charge for the Cougars as she placed ninth overall in 19:33.4. The 6,000-meter grass course will remain the same as BYU seeks to benefit from its prior experience on the course.
The NCAA has selected a 31-team field to compete at the national championship meet. No. 1 BYU, No. 2 Oregon, No. 3 Northern Arizona, No. 4 West Virginia and No. 5 Notre Dame round out the top five teams. The Big 12 will be represented by the top-ranked Cougars, No. 4 Mountaineers, No. 12 Utah and No. 16 Oklahoma State.
