KANSAS CITY, Mo. — BYU women's volleyball middle blockers Kjersti Strong and Brielle Kemavor represented the Cougars on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday morning.

An award that recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for performance both on the court and in the classroom, nominees must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or start in at least 66 percent of the matches.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as finalists to advance to the national ballot are designated with an asterisk.

Those who are selected for first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025. Strong and Kemavor were both selected to advance to the national ballot.

Strong holds a 3.81 GPA through her art studies degree at Saint Mary's and in post-baccalaureate studies at BYU. She finished the 2024 campaign with the second-most total blocks (101), including 21 solo stuffs, the team's second-best hitting percentage (.348) and third-most kills (230).

An open major student, Kemavor boasts a 3.88 GPA. Leading the team in blocks in 21 matches, she paced the Big 12 in both total blocks and blocks per set throughout the season.
