WHAT'S AT STAKE || With a win, the Cougars would push their win streak over their cross-town rival to 12 games. BYU and UVU have met in Provo seven times with the Cougars winning all seven match-ups.
LAST YEAR AGAINST UVU || Amari Whiting and Emma Calvert combined for 22 points on 9-of-19 shooting in the Cougars’ win over the Wolverines last season. Whiting went for 13 points, 9 rebounds, two assists and two steals while Calvert grabbed five boards and sent away four UVU shots.
CALVERT’S NATURAL HABITAT || With the graduation of Lauren Gustin, Emma Calvert has moved back to playing her natural position and is thriving. With her increased role, Calvert has become the second-leading scorer for BYU at 14.7 points per game on an efficient 54 percent from the floor and 34.8 percent from behind the arc. The senior also leads the team in blocks with 9 and is the second-leading rebounder at 5.1 per game.
Against UTEP, Calvert scored a career-high 27 points on 13-of-18 from the floor without attempting a three and just one free throw attempt.
DEFENSE IS THE CALLING CARD || Coach Whiting calls the BYU defense the silver bullet to the team’s success. In the six wins this season, the Cougars have held opponents to 61.6 points and 36.9 percent from the field. In losses, opponents have shot 45.5 percent from the floor and averaged 67.5 points.
COUGAR ASSIST CLUB || BYU has assisted on 145-of-236 (.614) made field goals this season and has had three or more players finish in double-figures in six of nine games this season. At UTEP, the Cougars had four players in double figures and five who recorded at least two assists. In wins this season, BYU averages 17.1 assists in comparison to 12.5 in losses.

SCORING BY COMMITTEE || The Wolverines are a well-balanced team that shares the rock and gets lots of players involved. Utah Valley has seven players that average at least seven points per game and three more that contribute at least five per contest.
MABRY'S CAREER NIGHT || In UVU’s last game against Air Force, Kylee Mabry scored a career-high 21 points on eight made field goals while dishing four assists. Mabry is the second-leading scorer for the Wolverines at 10.5 points per game on 42.6 percent shooting. The junior averages 2.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
SISTERLY LOVE || The Gibb sisters will face off for the first time in their collegiate careers when BYU and UVU take the floor on Tuesday night.
Saige Gibb is a junior at Utah Valley and has appeared in all nine games for the Wolverines this season. The Raymond, Alberta, Canada native averages 4.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.0 assists per game.
Delaney Gibb is the leading scorer for the Cougars at 16.1 points per game on 44.3 percent shooting from the floor and 35.9 percent from behind the arc. She also leads the Cougars at 4.3 assists while grabbing 5.0 rebounds and recording 1.7 steals per contest.
FAMILIAR FACE ON THE OPPOSING SIDELINE || Utah Valley head coach Dan Nielson spent 14 years on the BYU sideline in various roles under previous women’s basketball head coach Jeff Judkins. While on staff with the Cougars, Nielson coached 18 All-West Coast Conference players, four WCC Players of the Year, two WCC Newcomers of the Year and two WNBA draft picks.
