PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s soccer team will face Big 12 opponent Iowa State Monday, Sept. 30 on South Field.

THE COUGARS. BYU (4-4-3, 2-1-1 Big 12) faced the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Thursday evening, tying 2-2 on South Field. The Cougars scored first with a goal in the fourth minute of the match, the fastest goal scored this season. Mika Krommenhoek found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal to put the Cougs in the lead. The Cowgirls scored a goal of their own, sending the teams into halftime at a 1-1 draw. Both teams scored again in the second half, with BYU’s Mackenzee Vance scoring off a corner kick. The Cougs outshot the Cowgirls 22-10.
THE CYCLONES. Iowa State (8-2-1, 1-2 Big 12) last played Utah, tying the Utes 0-0 in Salt Lake City on Thursday evening. The two teams were evenly matched in their first-ever meeting, with 10 shots apiece. Iowa State added six corner kicks and four saves to its stat sheet during the match.
COUGARS VS. CYCLONES. The Cougars and Cyclones have faced just once previously, with BYU leading the series 1-0. The two teams met for the first time last season, Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 at the Cyclone Sports Complex in Ames, Iowa. The Cougars defeated the Cyclones 7-0, with help from current forward Erin Bailey who recorded a brace in the matchup.
