PROVO, Utah — The BYU gymnastics team hosts its first home meet of the season against SUU on Friday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. MT at the Marriott Center.

THE COUGARS. BYU last competed at Oregon State in Corvallis, Oregon on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Gill Coliseum. BYU fell to Oregon State 196.400-194.200 in its first dual meet of the season. The Cougars posted four scores above a 9.800, two of which were given to Eaquinto on bars and floor. Sophomore Brynlee Andersen posted BYU’s highest score of the night with a 9.825 on beam.

THE THUNDERBIRDS. No. 31 Southern Utah last competed against Utah State on Friday, Jan. 10. The Thunderbirds beat the Aggies 195.000-194.150 in their first road dual meet of the season. Sophomore Niya Reynolds took home the top spot in the all around with a score of 39.125. The Flippin’ Birds also notched the top spot on beam as Elliot Bringhurst scored a 9.925 on the apparatus.
