THE COUGARS. BYU last competed at the Best of Utah meet Monday evening, facing off with Utah, Utah State and Southern Utah. The Cougars took home a fourth-place finish, scoring a season-high 195.750. BYU’s Addi Glazier earned the team MVP award after scoring a career-high 9.825 on bars to anchor the bars rotation after falling in her first meet last week. BYU hit its highest vault, bars and beam scores of the season. During the bars rotation, all five counted scores were above 9.825.

THE UTES. No. 5 Utah saw the Cougars at the Best of Utah meet on Monday evening. The Utes took home the top spot on podium for the sixth year in a row. Scoring an NCAA-high 197.950, the Utes tallied 14 scores above a 9.9 throughout the competition, with Makenna Smith taking home the All-Around title with a final score of 39.725. Smith also earned Big 12 Gymnast of the Week accolades. Freshman Emma Neff captured her second Big 12 Newcomer of the Week award in a row, posting big scores against Big 12 competitor Iowa State.
