PROVO, Utah — The BYU gymnastics team faces Big 12 opponent West Virginia on Friday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. MT at the Marriott Center.

THE COUGARS. BYU last competed at Magness Arena against Denver, falling to the Pioneers 196.625-195.825. Despite coming in behind Denver, the Cougars tallied two event totals above 49, including a season-high 49.100 on vault. Kylie Eaquinto competed in the all around for the third time this season and earned a third-place finish with a 38.750. Andersen’s 9.9 on beam was the highest beam score of the meet, while Eaquinto took home the top spot on podium with her 9.875 floor routine.

THE MOUNTAINEERS. West Virginia last competed against Big 12 opponent Iowa State on Sunday, Feb. 9, falling to the Cyclones 195.375-194.175. Despite dropping the dual meet, the Mountaineers tallied a season-high vault score with a 48.9. WVU’s vault lineup was led by a career-high 9.850 from freshman Karleigh DiCello. West Virginia’s highest event total of the meet was its 48.925 on floor with four gymnasts earning a 9.8 or higher.
