LA JOLLA, Calif. — Due to inclement weather in the San Diego area, BYU softball's Friday matchups in the La Jolla Invitational have been canceled.

Originally scheduled to face Winthrop at 1:30 p.m. PT and UC San Diego at 7 p.m., the Cougars and Eagles saw three pitches before going into a rain delay that ultimately resulted in unplayable field conditions and a cancellation of the remainder of the tournament's Friday slate.

BYU will still play Winthrop on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. PT and Portland State at 1:30 p.m. as scheduled.
