PROVO, Utah — BYU softball freshman Ilove'a Brittingham was named to Softball America's Freshman Power Rankings, coming in at No. 2 in the Big 12, the outlet announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Brittingham leads the Cougars with a .414 batting average and .793 slugging percentage, also tallying team-highs in home runs (10) and RBI (36). She has 11 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI contests on the year, both atop the team as well.
The Nipomo, California native has the fifth-best batting average overall in the Big 12 and the highest by any freshman. She has also posted the league's third-best slugging percentage, third-most home runs and fourth-most RBI.
