PROVO, Utah — For the second time in the last week, BYU softball will face Utah Valley, this time hosting the Wolverines. It's just the fourth home game at Gail Miller Field this season.
The Cougars hosted their first three games in Provo over the weekend, dropping a Big 12 series to No. 11/9 Arizona but beating the Wildcats in game three, 9-4.

BYU dropped games one and two to Arizona, 8-0 and 15-6 before salvaging the series in the finale when its bats got going, out-hitting the Wildcats 12-10 in the contest and also benefitting from a pair of Arizona errors in the game three win.
The Cougars were led by Hailey Morrow (.500 batting average), Keila Kamoku (.429) and Ilove'a Brittingham (.400) in the series, who combined for three home runs and 10 of BYU's 15 RBI. Brittingham tallied five RBI on Saturday alone.
Jaelynn Lambert (.333) and Maddie Udall-Woolley (.333) joined the trio with batting averages of .300+ on the weekend, while Aleia Agbayani and Miranda Mansfield each finished at .286.
Kaysen Korth saw majority of the time in the circle for the Cougars, going 1-1 on 11 innings pitched with one complete game and nine strikeouts. Jada Villegas tossed five innings while Kate Dahle pitched two and Alyssa Aguialr saw one inning of work in the series.
With four homers in the series, and three at Utah Valley earlier in the week, BYU now averages 1.45 home runs per game, which ranks No. 16 nationally. BYU's .975 fielding percentage also ranks No. 18.
Individually, Brittingham sits at No. 7 in the country in RBI per game, with a 1.48 average. Korth also represents the Cougars, with her four saves good for No. 8 nationwide.
BYU gets set for a second matchup with UVU in as many weeks, the third-straight season it has faced a midweek opponent twice in a week's span. The Cougars hosted Idaho State four times in back-to-back Saturdays in 2023, also playing Utah Tech on consecutive Tuesdays last year.
