Olmstead named 2025 NORCECA Women's U21 Pan Am Cup head coach

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — BYU women’s volleyball head coach Heather Olmstead has been named the U.S. Women’s U21 National Team head coach for this summer's NORCECA Pan American Cup, USA Volleyball announced on Wednesday.

The Pan Am Cup will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica from July 20-28, with training held July 13-19 in Colorado Springs.

Olmstead will be joined by assistant coaches Keith Smith (TCU) and Megan Hodge Easy (Penn State, Olympian), with performance analyst Kolin Koski (LOVB), athletic trainer Britta Pestak (Hawken School/University Hospital) and team lead Kyle Thompson (Maryland).

This will mark Olmstead's fourth-consecutive summer working with USA Volleyball. She coached the U21 squad to a gold medal at the NORCECA Continental Championship last summer and also served as an assistant coach for the 2023 Collegiate National Team (CNT), 2022 U21 team, 2019 CNT Gold Team, U.S. Women's National team at the 2016 Pan American Cup and gold medal-winning U.S. team at the 2015 Pan American Games.
