No. 55 BYU (16-8, 6-5 Big 12) lost 6-1 to the No. 20 Cowgirls on Saturday afternoon in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Stillwater, Okla. — Aided by three default wins for No. 20 Oklahoma State, No. 55 BYU (16-8, 6-5 Big 12) lost 6-1 to the Cowgirls, with senior Bobo Huang contributing the Cougars' sole singles victory.

Huang's win puts her overall singles record at 17-2, with a 10-1 record against Big 12 opponents. She has currently won nine singles matches in a row.

The Cowgirls started the match with one default doubles win, putting them one match away from clinching the doubles point.

Levelston and Tullis defeated their opponents 6-2 to tie the doubles play 1-1. Huang and Smith narrowly lost to No. 6 Komar and Nijkamp, 6-4, giving Oklahoma State a 1-0 edge going into the singles matches.

Two more default wins for the Cowgirls put them one singles victory away from clinching the match. Tullis lost in two sets to put Oklahoma State at 4-0, but the teams decided to play out the other three matches.

Smith and Levelston also lost their matches in two sets, with Levelston being defeated by the No. 61 ranked singles player. 

Huang gave the last singles point to BYU by defeating her opponent in two sets, and the Cowgirls officially won 6-1.
