PROVO, Utah — Another season of BYU football is about to kick off, providing one of the best fan experiences, in one of the most unique settings, in all of college football.

The following are a few gameday reminders and new additions for those attending this season’s games to be aware of.

New Concession Options and Processes

Keep an eye out for new AI-powered concession checkouts in two stadium areas — the lower east side and upper west side of the stadium. Cameras will identify items selected for a faster checkout time.

There will be four new fan-friendly-pricing concession stands this year.

A gluten-free dedicated stand will be back this season and locked in the southeast corner of the stadium.

Legacy Hall

With the ongoing renovation happening at Legacy Hall the Student Athlete Building, note that it remains closed to the public and won’t be available for fans to stop by prior to games this season.

Cougar Canyon and Backyard

Starting three and a half hours before kickoff, enjoy pre-game events at Cougar Canyon, located directly west of LaVell Edwards Stadium. Again this year, fans can also enjoy The Backyard at Cougar Canyon, located south of the stadium, across University Parkway, on Helaman Fields.

Stay up to date on all pre-game activities on our Gameday Timeline page.

BYU Cougars App

Stadium Entrances

Remember that your ticket can get you entrance through any stadium gate. There are sometimes long lines to get tickets scanned at Gate 1, in the southwest corner of the stadium, especially as it gets closer to kickoff, while other gates are relatively quiet.

Parking Passes

Remember to download your parking pass before you depart for the stadium, and download your tickets before you get to your gate. This will help expedite the time it takes to get into parking lots and stadium gates.

No Bag Policy

Remember that LaVell Edwards Stadium has a no bag policy, except for a few exceptions. Small clutch bags, no larger than 5” x 8” x 1”, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium. Medically necessary bags will be permitted after inspection. One bag per person. No outside food or drink will be permitted. Weapons are prohibited. New this season, outside chair back seats are not permitted but can be rented at gates one and five.
