THE COUGARS. After blanking Utah Valley 2-0 on Friday, BYU women’s soccer (5-1-1, 0-0 Big 12) climbed to No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches poll—its first top-10 appearance of the year. The Cougars also sit at No. 12 in the RPI rankings heading into conference play. Goalkeeper Paiton Collins tallied four saves to secure her fourth shutout of the season and earn Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second time this season. Junior forward Ellie Walbruch added another goal to her stat sheet and continues to lead the Cougars in goals (4) and shots (27). Freshman Afton Perry secured her first collegiate goal against the Wolverines, assisted by Halle Dixon and Camryn Jorgensen. Dixon has now tallied an assist in back-to-back games and is tied with Mika Krommenhoek for most assists on the season with two.

THE SUN DEVILS. Arizona State (7-0-1, 0-0 Big 12) last played against UTEP, beating the Miners 4-1 at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium to remain unbeaten through non-conference play. With a goal in the 12th minute by Cameron Valladares, the Sun Devils have now scored at least one first-half goal in all eight matches this year.
