PROVO, Utah – No. 16 BYU women’s soccer takes on the Cincinnati Bearcats Saturday night on South Field.

THE COUGARS. BYU women’s soccer (5-3-1, 0-2 Big 12) dropped its second Big 12 game in a row, falling to West Virginia 3-2 Wednesday night. The game was BYU’s first home Big 12 loss since joining the conference in 2023. Despite the loss, Mia Lopez tallied her second goal of the year and Halle Dixon scored her first goal of the season. Ellie Walbruch tallied her first assist of the year, while Mia Goettsche posted her first collegiate assist. 

THE BEARCATS. Cincinnati (2-3-5, 0-1-1 Big 12) last played Utah to a scoreless draw at Ute Field Wednesday evening. The Bearcats were outshot 19-5 on the night, but held off Utah’s attack to earn the shutout. Cincinnati’s goalkeeper Camryn Miller tallied four saves, two per half. Molly Cochran led her team in shots with two.

COUGARS VS. BEARCATS. BYU and Cincinnati have met just once previously, with the overall series tied 0-0-1. The team’s faced in 2023 at South Field and played to a 1-1 draw, despite the Cougars outshooting the Bearcats, 26-6.
