The Cougars will play their first of back-to-back games against in-state opponents on Saturday evening as they take on the Aggies at South Field.

PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s soccer team (3-1-1, 0-0 Big 12) will compete on South Field Saturday evening against the Utah State Aggies.

THE COUGARS. No. 11 BYU women’s soccer last competed against No. 13 Arkansas Tuesday evening, falling 1-0 for its first loss of the season. Despite the loss, the Cougars outshot the Razorbacks 21-16 with nine shots on frame compared to Arkansas’ four. With another sold out stadium on Tuesday, the Cougars are now ranked No. 2 in the nation for average attendance so far this season (3,967).

THE AGGIES. Utah State (1-1-2, 0-0 MWC) last played in-state rival Utah Thursday, Aug. 28 at Chuck & Gloria Bell Soccer Field, tying the Utes 1-1. Through the first four games of the season, the Aggies have tallied two goals and 44 total shots. The Aggies have also added 10 saves between the posts and 15 corner kicks.

COUGARS VS. AGGIES. BYU has played Utah State 19 times in program history, leading the overall series 15-3-1. All of BYU’s losses to the Aggies have come in the last five years, with the last meeting in 2024 ending with a Utah State win on South Field (2-1). The Cougars last beat the Aggies in the first round of the NCAA tournament in 2023.
