OREM, Utah – No. 1 BYU women’s cross country opened up its 2025 season with a win at the Autumn Classic on Friday morning.

Nelah Roberts led the Cougars, capturing her first individual collegiate win in the process. The sophomore reached the finish line in 15:30.82, .02 seconds ahead of second-place teammate Riley Chamberlain. Junior Taylor Rohatinsky followed closely in third with a time of 15:30.89, while Lexi Goff-Thompson secured fourth place at 15:30.90.

Gilbert, Arizona native Taylor Lovell crossed in 15:41.15, rounding out the top five for BYU. Jacey Harkins-Farmer earned sixth place with a time of 15:49.82 and Vanessa Alder took ninth with her 16:30.10.

BYU won the meet with 15 points marking the sixth-straight victory at the Autumn Classic. Snow College took second place with 50 points and Westminster claimed third with 83 points.

The Cougars will return to action in three weeks at the Cowboy Jamboree, hosted by Oklahoma State. The women will run at 7:15 a.m. MST at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
