ATLANTA – BYU sophomore midfielder Lucy Kesler has been called up to the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team training camp to be held from October 22-30 at the University of Kansas Health System Training Center.
Kesler joins a roster of 24 players made up equally of players born in 2006 (12) and 2007 (12) and features seven NWSL players, one NWSL player out on loan, three players from the USL Super League, one from Canada’s Northern Super League, ten college players and two youth club players.
The latter part of camp – from Oct. 27-29 – will be held concurrently with the senior USWNT’s visit to Kansas City for its match against New Zealand on Oct. 29 at CPKC Stadium. The U.S. U-20 WNT will attend that match.
This camp will be the first for new U.S. U-20 WNT head coach Vicky Jepson, who comes to U.S. Soccer after a long stint at Tottenham Hotspur where she served as first team senior assistant head coach and for a period, as interim head coach.
