PROVO, Utah – The No. 1 Cougars will compete in the Big 12 Championships on Friday, Oct. 31 at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kansas, with the race set for 10 a.m. MST.

The team is coming off a win at the Missouri Pre-Nationals. Led by Jane Hedengren and Riley Chamberlain, BYU scored 25 points to beat No. 19 Villanova’s 170 points and No. 21 Missouri’s 216 points.

The Cougars return six runners from last season’s Big 12 Championships team. Chamberlain placed sixth with Taylor Rohatinsky right behind her in seventh. Carmen Alder and Taylor Lovell took 10th and 24th, respectively.

The top 15 runners will be named to the All-Big 12 team.

Other Big 12 programs in the top 25 poll include No. 6 Iowa State, No. 7 West Virginia, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 16 Colorado and No. 18 Utah.
