BYU

The men’s team, composed of Martí Llop, Elijah Baker and Ashton Sparks, performed well in its last competition against UNLV. Llop took first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, with Sparks taking third in the 3-meter. He has placed in the top three in all four events he has competed in this season.

The women’s team, composed of Sophia DeBergh, Brooklyn Goeckeritz, Alexia Jackson Hansen, Betty Martin and Aubryn Ordyna, has also performed well this season. Goeckeritz, a freshman, leads the group in first-place finishes this season with two. Like Llop, she has placed in the top three in all four events she has competed in. Ordyna, a sophomore, placed third in the 3-meter event last time out against UNLV.

BYU will resume team competition Jan. 3 in Honolulu against Hawaii at the conclusion of this week’s meet. The dive team will compete in its second and final dive-only meet at Air Force, Jan. 28-31.
