PROVO, UT – BYU men's track & field will compete at home in the BYU December Invitational Dec. 10-11 in the Smith Fieldhouse.

Four athletes on the men's team competed at the 2025 Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Dec. 6. Junior middle-distance runner Carter Cutting set the No. 3 all-time BYU record in the mile. Noah Jenkins placed fourth in the 5,000-meter and set the No. 6 all-time BYU record in the event.
The home meet will serve as the first meet of the season for each of the other event groups.
The sprints/hurdles group will feature Jonah Heimuli in the 300m this week. The Sophmore from Alpine was tabbed as an All-American last season after helping break the program record in the 4x400m relay.
The throws group will feature Erik Bryant, Tyler Poole and Peyton Williams.
The multi/jumps group be headlined by All-American Ben Barton. Last year, Barton broke the school record in the indoor heptathlon with 5,944 points and took second overall at the Big 12 Indoor Championships.
