IRVING, Texas — BYU women's volleyball placed 10 student-athletes on the Fall All-Big 12 Academic Team, the league announced on Thursday.
The Cougars had Emma Barbero, Hannah Billeter, Sophia Callahan, Abby Hoybjerg, Brielle Kemavor, Mia Lee, Claire Little Chambers, Elli Mortensen, Lulu Uluave and Elena Wallace named to the 1,093 student-athlete list. 149 of thoses student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA, including Wallace.
To qualify for the Fall Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher, either cumulative or over the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20% of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen are not eligible, while transfers in their first year of academic residence are eligible. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
