HONOLULU, Hawaii — Two weeks ago, the BYU men’s tennis team earned a 6–1 win in its home opener against Weber State. The Cougars will look to keep the early momentum in the Aloha State as the program looks to start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2019.

BYU’s first match will take place on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. MST at the UH Tennis Complex as the Cougars take on the Portland Pilots (2–1), who are coming off a 7–0 sweep over Portland State earlier this week.

This will be the first meeting between BYU and Portland since 2023, when the Pilots won 4–1 as part of the 2023 WCC Men’s Tennis Tournament. The Cougars still lead the all-time series 12–4. A livestream will be available at match time.

On Friday, BYU will play its first true road matchup of the 2026 campaign as it faces the host Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (1–2) at 5 p.m. MST. This will be Hawaii’s first match since Jan. 10, when the Rainbow Warriors fell at home 6–1 to Washington. BYU leads the all-time series 19–4.
