BOSTON – Tessa Buswell, Jenna Hutchins and Jacey Harkins-Farmer each turned in a program top 10 performance in the John Thomas Terrier Classic Friday at the Track & Tennis Center.

Buswell moved to No. 4 on BYU’s all-time list in the 800-meter, clocking a 2:03.19 in the invitational race to pass Alena Ellsworth (2023) and Nachelle Stewart Mackie (2012). The sophomore shaved nearly a quarter of a second off her previous indoor best.

In the 3000m invite, Hutchins placed fifth in 8:49.39, while Harkins-Farmer finished 11th with a time of 8:52.92. Hutchins moved to No. 3 in program history, trailing only Lexy Halladay-Lowry and Riley Chamberlain. Harkins-Farmer earned her second spot on BYU’s all-time top 10 list, checking in at No. 6.

Nelah Roberts and Vanessa Alder competed in the 5000m invitational, with Roberts leading the pair by finishing fifth.

Zariel Macchia narrowly missed a win in the mile open, running 4:38.03 to finish second, just 0.01 seconds behind the winner. Lexi Goff-Thompson placed third with a personal-best time of 4:38.27.
