THE COUGARS. BYU opens the season against Oregon State Friday evening, the ninth all-time meeting between the two teams. Oregon State holds the all-time record against the Cougars, 5-3. BYU fell to the Beavers last season 196.400-194.200. In last year’s meeting, Eaquinto competed in the all-around for the first time of her career, tallying a career-high 39.050.

THE BEAVERS. Oregon State opened its 2026 campaign with the Best of West quad meet on Saturday, Jan. 3. The Beavers took home a fourth-place finish with a 195.550 behind No. 20 Cal, No. 4 UCLA and host Washington. Taylor DeVries earned Oregon State’s first 9.900-plus score of 2026, earning a 9.925 on bars. Junior Sophia Esposito finished the meet with a trio of 9.800-plus scores.
