BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky — After splitting a doubleheader on Friday, BYU baseball dropped game three of its four-game series with Western Kentucky, 4-2, on Saturday at Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

SUMMARY
BYU (1-2) jumped out to an early lead in its first at bat on a solo home run with two outs by shortstop Ryder Robinson. WKU (2-1) first baseman Lane Arroyos responded in the bottom half of the first inning with a home run to tie the game at 1-1. 

After two and a half scoreless innings, the Hilltoppers took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning on a double, two walks and wild pitch that scored WKU catcher Camden Ross. 

The Cougars fought back in the top of the fourth to even the scoring at 2-2 fueled by three consecutive singles by Keoni Painter, Bryker Hurdsman and Ezra McNaughton

WKU retook the lead 4-2 in the bottom of the eighth on a walk, hit batter and wild pitch followed by a one-out single, in what proved to be the game winner. 

Overall, BYU scored two runs on six hits while stranding eight runners, while WKU scored four runs also on six hits with five left on base.
