PROVO, Utah — No. 29 BYU women’s tennis (11-1) opens Big 12 Conference play on the road this week, traveling to UCF on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 4 p.m. MST in Orlando, Florida, before facing Houston on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m. MST in Houston, Texas.

BYU enters conference play riding a nine-match win streak and has been strong in every setting this spring. The Cougars are a perfect 4-0 at home, 5-0 on the road and 2-1 at neutral sites. BYU’s lone loss of the season came in a neutral-site match against San Diego on Jan. 23, with the Cougars responding by winning nine straight matches since that result.

Houston brings a perfect 9-0 overall record into Saturday’s matchup. The Cougars in red have won nine straight matches to open the season and have been strong both at home with a 4-0 record and on the road with a 5-0 mark.

UCF enters Thursday’s contest at 7-1 overall. The Knights are unbeaten at home with a 3-0 record in Orlando and have also gone 3-0 on the road this season, splitting two neutral-site matches.

All three teams open Big 12 Conference play this weekend, setting up an early measuring stick for BYU as it begins league competition against two strong opponents away from home.
