PROVO, Utah – Four BYU divers are set to compete next week at the NCAA Zone E Championships.
The competition will determine divers eligible to compete at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta later this month.

On the men’s side, sophomore Martí Llop and freshman Ashton Sparks will represent the Cougars, with both competing in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform events.
On the women’s side, senior Sophia DeBergh and freshman Brooklyn Goeckeritz will compete for BYU. Goeckeritz will join Llop and Sparks, competing in all three events, while DeBergh will compete in the 3-meter.
BYU dive most recently competed at the Big 12 Championships in Greensboro, N.C., where the men took fifth overall, with the women took eighth.
Llop’s performance was highlighted by a personal best in the 1-meter event, taking seventh place at 352.65. He also competed in the platform finals, taking eighth overall at 308.70. Sparks competed in finals of the 3-meter and platform events, taking 11th (3-meter) and 14th (platform).
In the 3-meter, DeBergh earned 28th, scoring 229.55. Goeckeritz’s best performance at Big 12s featured 17th-place finishes in the 1-meter (238.15) and platform (202.80) events.
