PROVO, Utah – BYU’s sprints, hurdles, throws, jumps and pole vault athletes are set to compete in the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational on Apr. 2-4 in Austin, Texas.
Texas Relays
Thursday’s events will start off with Jayda Lee, who will be competing in the hammer throw. Last week at the Trojan Invitational, Lee threw a 54.29m/178-1, finishing in sixth place.
Pole vaulters Cailee Faulkner and Abbie Scott will compete, while Faulkner is coming off a win from the Trojan Invitational, where she posted a 4.12m/14-5.25.
Kali McEuen and Mayci Taylor will finish off Thursday in the 400-meter hurdles. Last week, Taylor earned the No. 8 spot in program history with her 58.04.
The 4x100m squad will kick off Friday’s events, and then McEuen will take on the 100m hurdles, aiming for a spot in the final. Paje Rasmussen will eye a higher spot on the program’s 100m top-10 list alongside teammate Cambria Hasler.
Alysa Keller and Kat Beachler will compete in the javelin throw, with Keller coming off a win from last weekend’s Trojan Invitational. Keller posted a 50.38m/165-3, which was her best throw since the outdoor 2024 Big 12 Championships.
After rising to No. 5 in program history in the discus, Kaiah Fisher will gear up for the event again. Fisher earned the spot with her 54.35m/178-4, winning the Utah Tech Invitational with her personal best in the process.
Throws continue into Saturday, with Lia Pili, Beachler and Fisher set for the shot put. Mae Johnson will compete in the high jump after setting an outdoor season-best 1.74m/5-8.5 in the Trojan Invitational. The 4x400m squad will close Texas Relays for BYU.
