AZUSA, Calif. – Taylor Lovell clocked a 9:26.99 to finish runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase invitational Thursday night at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Cougar Stadium.
Only two weeks after setting the No. 3 5000m time in program history, Lovell improved her No. 3 mark in the 3000m steeplechase with her 9:26.99, trimming more than 10 seconds off her previous best. She sits behind Lexy Halladay-Lowry (9:08.68) and Courtney Wayment (9:16.00) on the program’s all-time list.
Addie Meldrum led the Cougars in the 3000m steeplechase open, finishing fifth in 10:12.44, while River White placed 11th in 10:20.39. Emerald Kehr and Karissa Chamberlain also recorded personal bests, crossing in 10:31.87 and 10:32.33, respectively.
