PROVO, Utah – The Cougars’ distance crew is gearing up for the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Stanford, California on Apr. 3-4.
After being crowned the indoor NCAA 3000-meter and 5000m champion last month, Jane Hedengren will make her first outdoor appearance as she is set for the 10,000m alongside teammates Jenna Hutchins and Nelah Roberts. Hutchins is the current 10,000m school record holder with her 32:22.98 from last season.
Raygan Peterson, Addie Meldrum and Emerald Kehr will take on the 3000m steeplechase. This will be Meldrum’s first attempt at the event.
School record holder in the 1500m, Carlee Hansen-Thompson will compete in the event alongside Carmen Alder, Taylor Rohatinsky and Zariel Macchia. Rohatinsky ranks No. 8 in school history in the event with her 4:12.76 from the 2023 season. Grace Hutchison and Taylor Lovell are set for the 5000m.
The 800m will take place Saturday and is expected to be headlined by Tessa Buswell, who currently ranks No. 8 in program history with her 2:02.26. Kylie Olsen, Krystie Solomon-Jensen, Anne Elise Packard, Carmen Alder, Carlee Hansen-Thompson and Taylor Rohatinsky will join her.
