PROVO, Utah — BYU softball wraps up its nine game homestand this week, welcoming Weber State to Gail Miller Field for a Tuesday night midweek contest.
The Cougars and Wildcats will face off at 6 p.m. MT on Apr. 21 before resuming Big 12 played with a trip up to Salt Lake City for a three-game series at Utah later in the week.

BYU went 2-2 last week, picking up a midweek win against Utah Tech before dropping its Big 12 series to Iowa State, 2-1.
The Cougars hit .380 on the week and .374 against the Cyclones, with six BYU batters hitting .300 or better against ISU: Lexie Bennett (.600), Lily Owens (.455), Tristen Turlington (.429), Bre Townsend (.400), Maddie Udall-Woolley (.385) and Ilove'a Brittingham (.333).
Receiving home runs from Owens, Townsend, Udall-Woolley, Rita Tavita and Hailey Shuler, the Cougars saw multi-home runs efforts from Udall-Woolley and Shuler, including a pair from the two-way player in game one against Iowa State.
BYU walked off game two on a solo home run by Udall-Woolley, but dropped games one and three by scores of 14-10 and 9-6.
Lefty Gianna Mares picked up the decision in each game of the series, tallying eight strikeouts across 10.1 innings pitched. Shuler added six strikeouts of her own, while Villegas recorded one.
Bennett (.480) and Udall-Woolley (.444) lead the team in the month of April, where the Cougars are hitting .334 as a team. Udall-Woolley also has a team-high .972 slugging percentage over BYU's last 11 contests.
With two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Cougars ranks No. 34 nationally in double plays (20) and No. 37 in double plays per game (0.45).
BYU also has Villegas at 34th in the country in saves (3) and Owens at No. 6 in sacrifice flies (4). Villegas' save count and Brittingham's eight runners caught stealing both rank second in the Big 12.
Hosting Weber State in one of four home games over their final seven contests, the Cougars and Wildcats also meet for the first time since 2015.
