PROVO, Utah — Four members of the BYU men’s volleyball team were awarded all-conference honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for the 2026 season on Tuesday.
Trent Moser, Senior, Outside Hitter, MPSF 2nd Team
Moser led the Cougars with 3.25 kills per set this season. He registered 10 or more kills in 18 of the 28 matches he played in. His season-and-career high was 26 kills, coming against USC on April 11, while hitting .452. This is Moser’s second all-conference recognition, as he was also named to the 2023 MPSF All-Freshman Team.
Connor Oldani, Sophomore, Outside Hitter, MPSF 2nd Team
Oldani led the Cougars in total kills with 323. He was the only player on the BYU roster to start all 31 regular-season matches this season. He had a season-high 22 kills against UC Irvine on Jan. 24. Oldani’s 13 digs at Stanford on March 14 were a single-match team high.
AJ Cottle, Freshman, Middle Blocker, MPSF Honorable Mention and All-Freshman Team
Cottle set a BYU rally-scoring record early in the season against UC San Diego when he racked up 10 kills on 10 swings. In that same match he also had a single-match team high of 11 total blocks. Cottle’s 1.01 blocks per set were a team high this season.
Trevor Herget, Freshman, Outside Hitter, All-Freshman Team
Herget was a key contributor off the bench this season, playing in 29 matches and starting seven. He averaged 1.82 kills per set with a .290 hitting percentage. He was especially dangerous from the service line with 17 aces on the season.
