IRVING, Texas — Eight student-athletes from the BYU women’s gymnastics team have been named to the 2025-26 All-Big 12 Winter Academic Team, the conference announced Thursday.

Alilah Alvarado, Brynlee Andersen-Broekman, Kylie Eaquinto, Chloee Hoke, Ava Jorgensen, Mya Kirkham, Addilyn Glazier and Deb Silva earned spots on the academic team.

Alvarado, Andersen-Broekman, Eaquinto, Hoke and Jorgensen are earning this accolade for the second consecutive year, while Glazier, Kirkham and Silva are first-year honorees. 

To qualify for the Winter Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher, either cumulative or over the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20% of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen are not eligible, while transfers in their first year of academic residence are eligible. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
