PROVO, Utah — BYU softball dropped game three of its series with No. 25 Arizona State, 11-3 on senior day at Gail Miller Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars (18-33, 7-17 Big 12) led 3-0 after one on an Ilove’a Brittingham home run, but the Sun Devils scored the game’s final 11 runs.

Player Highlights

BYU opened the bottom of the first with a Danica Acosta single and Hailey Shuler walk before Brittingham laced a three-run homer to right center, putting the Cougars in front, 3-0.

Arizona State got a run back in the second with a single, sacrifice bunt, wild pitch and ground out, making it a 3-1 ball game.

ASU added another in the fourth after a pair of walks, BYU pitching change and single through the left side, drawing within one at 3-2.

The Sun Devils blew the game open in the fifth, putting up a five spot on six hits to go in front, 7-3.

Arizona State then added four more in the seventh on five hits, two wild pitches and a walk for an 11-3 lead.

The Cougars put their leadoff batter on in the bottom of the seventh inning with an Acosta single, but went down in order from there, wrapping up the senior day contest, final regular season series and 2026 campaign.
