PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s track & field has 11 athletes competing in 13 events at the Division I NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oreg. at Hayward Field from June 11-13.

Senior 1500-meter duo Carlee Hansen-Thompson and Carmen Alder will compete in the event Thursday evening as the Cougars’ first event, trying to earn a spot in Saturday’s final. Alder ranks No. 2 in program history with a 4:07.29, while Hansen-Thompson is No. 3 with a 4:07.64. Hansen-Thompson makes her second straight appearance at the NCAA Championships in the 1500m after earning Second Team All-America honors last year.

Raygan Peterson and Taylor Lovell will take on the 3000m steeplechase in an attempt to reach Saturday’s final. Lovell is on a two-win streak in the event after claiming the Big 12 title and adding an NCAA West Preliminary Round victory on May 30. The Gilbert, Arizona, product sits No. 3 in BYU history with her personal-best 9:26.99, set at the 2026 Bryan Clay Invitational.

Paje Rasmussen makes her first NCAA Championships appearance in both the 100m and 200m. The school record holder in each event will aim for a spot in Saturday’s final.

Sophomore Tessa Buswell and senior Krystie Solomon-Jensen are set to compete in the 800m. Buswell returns for her second consecutive outdoor championship appearance after earning Honorable Mention All-America honors last year. Solomon-Jensen makes her first NCAA Championships appearance after recording the No. 9 time in program history at the NCAA West Preliminary Round with a 2:02.21.

Jane Hedengren enters as the top seed and NCAA record holder in both the 5000m and 10,000m. Hedengren holds an outdoor-best time of 14:50.50 in the 5000m and a personal-best 30:46.80 in the 10,000m. After sweeping the 3000m and 5000m at the NCAA Indoor Championships, Hedengren aims to do the same this weekend. Jenna Hutchins will join her in the 10,000m. Hutchins sits No. 2 in program history with a 32:01.02.

Senior Zoey Bonds will start things off for BYU on Friday in the heptathlon. Bonds sits No. 4 in program history in the event with 5,735 points, set at the Big 12 Championships this year. Additionally, she ranks No. 4 in program history in the 100m hurdles with a 13.16. Her season was highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the heptathlon at the conference championships.

Kaiah Fisher will compete in the discus on Saturday for BYU. The Stanford transfer sits No. 4 on the program's all-time list with a 55.09m/180-9, set at the 2026 Weber State Classic.
