MAUI, Hawaii – The bracket for the 2026 Southwest Maui Invitational was announced on Wednesday morning. The eight-team tournament will be played on Nov. 23-25 at Lahaina Civic Center.
BYU will face the Huskies of Washington in the quarterfinals on Monday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m. MT on ESPN2. In Tuesday’s semifinal, the Cougars will face either Ole Miss or Clemson. The championship game will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 25, where the Cougars could play Arizona, VCU, Providence and Colorado State.
All 12 games of the 2026 Southwest Maui Invitational will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU and will also be available on the ESPN app.
The Cougars will play in the Maui Invitational for a fifth time, having previously competed in 2019, 2014, 2004 and 1992. BYU is 6-6 all-time at the tournament, highlighted by a runner-up finish in 1992, where they defeated No. 9 Oklahoma and Memphis before falling to No. 1 Duke in the championship game.
The matchup with the Huskies in Maui will be the 20th all-time meeting between BYU and Washington and the first at a neutral site since the 1951 NCAA Tournament in Kansas City. The Cougars are 9-10 all-time against the Huskies, including a 90-79 win in their last meeting on March 19, 2013, in the opening round of the NIT. Tyler Haws was one of three Cougars to score at least 20 points as the program’s all-time leading scorer finished with a game-high 37 points, going 15-of-24 from the field, 1-of-3 from 3-point range and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Matt Carlino chipped in 20 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
