PROVO, Utah — The BYU Men's Cross Country team released its 2026 schedule on Wednesday morning.

The Cougars head out east to open their season with an early-season look at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in the John McNichols Invitational. The 8,000-meter race, hosted by Indiana State, is scheduled to start at 7:05 a.m. MDT.

The team then heads to Madison, Wisc., three weeks later to race in the Nuttycombe Invitational for the fifth consecutive year. The Cougars took fifth place last year after a first-place finish in the race in 2024.  The 8,000m is set to take off at 10:10 a.m. MDT.

BYU will then participate in its fourth Big 12 Championship race on Oct. 31, with this year's race being hosted by Oklahoma State on the Greiner Family Course. BYU finished fourth in last year's race with a score of 102.

The NCAA Mountain Regionals will take place two weeks later in Albuquerque, N.M., at the UNM North Golf Course. One week later, the NCAA Championships will be hosted by ISU at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
