PROVO, Utah — Former BYU men’s golfers Carson Lundell and Simon Kwon are tied for second at 14-under after two rounds of the 2026 Larry H. Miller Utah Open at Riverside Country Club on Saturday.
Lundell and Kwon lead seven Cougars in the Top 10, while 21 BYU golfers made the cut heading into Sunday’s final round of stroke play.
Lundell opened the tournament with a 9-under 63, highlighted by seven birdies and an eagle. He made birdies on Nos. 1, 5 and 7 before adding four more on the back nine. Lundell capped the round with an eagle on No. 16.
In the second round, Lundell made a bogey on No. 4 before responding with birdies on Nos. 5 and 7. He added an eagle on No. 13 and back-to-back birdies on Nos. 15 and 16 to finish with a 5-under 67.
