PROVO, Utah – No. 9 BYU women’s soccer (1-0, 0-0 Big 12) heads to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers Wednesday night at Dan McClimon Memorial Soccer Complex.

THE COUGARS. No. 9 BYU women’s soccer (1-0, 0-0 Big 12) opened the 2026 season with a top-25 road win at No. 9 UCLA. After going down 1-0, Mattyn Summers-Oviatt tied the game at 1-1 right before halftime. Freshman Brynnli Tolbert scored the game-winning goal in the second half, her first collegiate goal for the Cougars. BYU outshot UCLA 14-10 with seven shots on goal. In an aggressive match, four yellow cards were given, two to each team. 

THE BADGERS. Wisconsin (0-1, 0-0 Big Ten) opened its season with a 1-0 loss to TCU on Thursday, Aug. 13. The Horned Frogs scored in the 78th minute, converting a corner kick as Wisconsin scored an own goal. Despite the loss, the Badgers controlled much of the match and finished with advantages in corner kicks (9-4), shots (13-2) and shots on goal (6-0).

COUGARS VS. BADGERS. BYU is undefeated against Wisconsin, leading the overall series 3-0. The last time the teams met was in the 2024 season opener at South Field. The Cougars won that match 1-0, with a goal in the 17th minute and a penalty kick save in the 60th minute to hold on for the shutout.
